How I worked my mooching magic...

How to mooch:
So I was at work and I saw a family standing in line who had a huge bag of pretzel m&ms.
I asked them, "Hey are those good?"
They replied, "Oh yeah. Definitely. Want some?"
I said very nicely, "Oh. no thats ok. thats not why i asked.I was just wondering because i have never tried them"
They said, "are you sure?"
I finally gave in and said, "Ok fine. I'll have some" :)

So after work Devin and I were at Walmart and I told him how delicious pretzel m&ms are and that he needed to try them. DEBACLE: Walmart only had the large bags of m&ms and so we had to spend $4 on them. Dev thought it was really dumb to spend that much, and so i don't think he fully enjoyed the taste. But nontheless, they are delicious- try them.

Summer Reads

Summer is the best time for some light reading! Currently I am taking an online children's literature class through BYU- my last class to finish my major. I definitely saved the best class for last. What could be better than reading children's books?

I am almost finished with : Summer at Tiffany.
Its a memoir of the first lady to work at Tiffany & Co. The best part is how she falls in love with an army man (got to love a man in uniform).

I just finished reading: Stargirl
One of my favorite children's books! It is about a girl, self-named Stargirl, who moves to a high school and takes everyone by surprise. She is different and doesn't care what anyone thinks of her. She ends up changing everyone in the school and teaches everyone to be themselves.

And now I am reading: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

The honeymoon was a surprise to me- the only thing I knew was that we were going to Hawaii. So on our flight to Hawaii, Devin told me that we were going on a week long cruise and then staying in Waikiki for a few days. I was soooooo excited because I had never been to Hawaii or on a cruise.

The cruise visited 4 different islands, and at each stop we were able to get off the ship and do whatever we wanted. Devin had planned out a lot of "excursions" to go on that included snorkeling, a helicopter ride over the volcanoes, scooter riding around maui, four wheeling, and to the beach of course!
In waikiki we watched fireworks on the beach for the 4th of July, went to the Polynesian cultural center, Pearl Harbor, went shopping, and just tons of other random stuff.

It was such a fun trip and we had a lot of fun together. It was great to be able to relax after the wedding planning and festivities.

Our cruise butler and cleaning dude: George and Felix! We miss them

The Reception

The reception was AMAZING!! Some of my favorite things:
  • the cake!!!
  • the string quartet (background music)
  • the band (joe muscolino)
  • dancing! such a good turn out!
  • the food- even though I only ate an egg roll, the food looked incredible and everyone said it tasted really good
  • the ice sculptures
  • the bridesmaids and groomsmen outfits
  • the flowers
  • party favors- candy bars with our names on them
  • no line! (we reached our goal of not having the guests stand in line)
  • our choreographed first dance
  • the butterflies... in theory, it is a great idea for the send off. but they didn't quite fly..
  • last but not least- all of our family and friends who were able to attend and make it incredible!
by the way... I went a little crazy and put up a lot of pictures.. I just couldn't decide!

The Wedding

We had such an amazing wedding day and I loved every second of it. It was absolutely perfect and it went by way to fast. (The only regret we have is not eating the food at our reception- but I heard it was delicious)

We have been going through thousands of photos that our photographers took. Between the wedding dinner and the wedding day, we have had a bit of a picture overload, but I will post a few of my very favorites...Beware: there are a lot...
