Panama-Bermuda Part 1.

Our trip was fantastic! And couldn't have happened at a better time! It was so nice to get away and relax and be happy and warm.
I took about 500 pictures, so I will be doing multiple posts.

Panama City, Panama is a really cool city. The skyline is so amazing and there are just tons and tons of buildings! I've never seen anything like it.

We arrived at our hotel on a Thursday night. Checked in... and went to bed.

This pic is in the elevator. About 2 seconds after this picture was taken, the elevator stopped because Sean tried to open the door while it was moving. Silly teenage boys ;) Luckily it started going soon after and we weren't stuck for long.

We had a really fun time in Panama, even though we were only there for a couple of days.
We thought we needed to duck in this picture to get the door mat in... Apparently we didn't need to.

We went to the Old City to a market and to drive around. Here is a city of the skyline. I had no idea the city was so huge! Maybe I should do some research on the places we travel to.

The Old City is a really poor area compared to the main city. The two areas couldn't be more opposite and we were reminded that we were definitely in a third world country.

We went the Panama Canal!,which was amazing to see. It's so interesting and fun to watch the ships go through the locks!

Later that day, we went back to the Canal to eat dinner on a balcony looking out over the locks. Such a once in a lifetime experience! We waved to the crewmen on the ships as they went through.

Here we are at dinner. The people behind me are some good friends from Steve's company that happen to live in Panama City! They are the kindest and sweetest people around and it was so fun to see them again.

The next morning we boarded a shuttle to get to our clipper ship. About half way there (30 min. into our drive) the bus broke down. ha! Because Panama isn't the safest place in the world, the police had to come and sit with us until another bus could come and pick us up. It made me a little nervous that we had to have police there with us...

We did what anyone else would do, and took pictures while we waited. I think this sign says buckle your seatbelt... I'll have to double check with Devin on that one.

We finally made it to our ship...
Stay tuned for my next post!
