The word is finally out! We are expecting!! and we couldn't be more excited about it!
We find out the gender in 28 days!
Baby is due March 31.
We are a little worried that he/she is going to be born on one of our birthdays.... after seeing how my sister's baby is currently a week late, if that were to happen it would land us right on April 5 or April 7. So I guess we'll just need to get used to the idea of sharing. ;)
by the way, i'm totally joking... of course a baby is more important than our birthdays.
Recap of pregnancy so far...
-We found out on July 24 while we were in Utah! It was totally surreal and we were so excited but the line on the test was pretty faint... so we weren't too sure. We went to run a 5k right after for pioneer day. Good way to celebrate, I'd say.
-I was reeeeeeaaaaallllly sick the first 2 months. I was quite miserable, but I was also really grateful for that symptom because I wasn't ever sick during my first pregnancy-- so that was a really good sign. I'm feeling A LOT better now and am just extremely tired. If I didn't force myself to get out of bed in the morning, I could totally sleep for weeks on end- i'm not joking.
-I've continued to exercise, however I've pretty much stopped running. For some reason, the feeling of bouncing up and down just makes me feel weird and makes me paranoid that something bad will happen. So I stick to the elliptical, Zumba, and cycling.
-I've finally started eating healthier foods. The first trimester, all I wanted was cereal and toast and I couldn't really handle anything else, so I'm happy to be eating fruits and vegetables now!
-Speaking of eating healthier: my goal this week is to cut out soda. gasp!
I actually haven't been drinking very much, but I just read a book yesterday about healthy eating during pregnancy and I figure it's probably best to cut the soda out completely. We'll see how it goes...
-I'm 15.5 weeks along and the baby is the size of an apple :) and I'm in that awkward stage where I just look like i'm gaining weight and need to lay off the donuts...
-I'm able to sleep really well, but lately I've been practicing sleeping on my side and it is SO difficult. I'm totally a back sleeper and just sprawl out and stay in one spot the whole night. So to rotate back and forth is really difficult for me... I'll keep workin' on it though. (poor devin- the other night I thought I heard someone downstairs and so I woke him up at 2 am from the deepest of sleep and made him go downstairs to check...of course no one was in our house. And then he had a hard time falling back asleep. i still feel bad about it. Nice wife huh?)
Well that's my little recap for now!
